EthioSkills is an indigenous organization registered by Civil Society as a legal association in accordance with the Civil Society organizations proclamation No1113/2011. We are primarily engaged in youth skill development and make use of their skills to be self -employed as entrepreneurs. The concern came to mind while the founder of this organization selected and invited to attend the 37 world skills competition event held at St. Galen, Switzerland.
Unemployment is one of the most significant societal challenges of our era .It is the global problem and the concerns of the existing world. Countries must create the enabling environment for public & private partnership to work together for productive jobs to ensure sustainable, peace, growth and preserve social unity. In Ethiopia a large share of the population are the one who suffer from unemployment, this can most likely leads to conflict participation and migration.
Ethio Skills believe that technical skills training among Ethiopian youth will provide dramatic change in reducing unemployment. It is equally bringing about change in a national economy. This is crucial to foster a skilled labor force and to ensure skills are those in demand by the current labor market. It is through collective actions that change can occur and unemployment will be disrupted. We call upon everyone to join these efforts.
