Brief Profile
The Ethio Skills is an indigenous organization registered by Civil Society Organization and currently reestablished again by its earlier name Ethio- Skills as a legal organization in accordance with the Civil Society organizations proclamation No1113/2011.
To cite some of its previous prominent activities:
Invited to attend World Skills Olympic
Founder of Ethio-Skills Mr.Bekele Matewose was invited to attend the 37th World Skills Olympic held at St. Galen Switzerland. It is there her represented Ethiopia for the first time and subsequently acquired firsthand experience of the prototypes of activates in some range of skills areas. To mention the two:
Ethio Skills’ 99
This event was a pioneering Ethiopian Skills Competition held at the Addis Ababa Exhibition Center. The competition was undertaken as a model project by Engineering Capacity Building Program (ECBP) partnered by Addis Ababa City Government Education bureau .
Workers Skills Competition
The competition was held in Addis Ababa with employees from various private and government institutes. This workers’ competition was the first of its kind organized in the history of the Confederation of Ethiopian Trade Union.
Tasks currently accomplished:
Young trainees in collaboration of our partners Training Institutes received free short courses in accordance with needs of labor market. It is to inspire and make them ready for employment and entrepreneurship.
- Employment Forum for Peace held at Haile Grand Hotel April 11/2023 with the presence of high officials & known personalities.
